Such a big girl

Today my baby, turned more into a little girl. That gives me the "sadz" for real. While my mom and dad watched C we took down her crib/bed and put up a big girl bed and repainted her room. Tonight when we brought her home, we had just woke her up so she was less than pleased, but I just know that tomorrow she is going to be ESTATIC about her new bed!

Emily the Elf

So we put a call into the big Santa man himself. We asked if he could send an elf to watch us during the holidays and report back to him how good C was doing. He obliged. Santa is cool that way. He sent a package one night on the door step.
It was Emily, shes soooo cool. But ever since she has showed up, she has been acting quite mischievous. Her first night with us she woke up in the middle of the night for C to find her in the morning at a tea party. The next day we found her in the Candy jar, the next morning she had visited C in her bed. I wonder what she will do next.

The best part about Emily being here is that we got SNOW!!! It was so much fun.

Almost time for "Ho,Ho, Claus"

I love my kid. Shes so funny, no like REALLY funny. She says the cutest things. We have found ourselves in December. Time flies and its hard to stop at any point in our whrilwind lives and take time out to chronicle. I really must find a way for this all to slow down.
Halloween was pronounced "HowHow ween" its was blast, we took her to the Square in C-town, not ideal but it did the job.

My sister came in and brought her son to celebrate his first birthday. During this time my grandfather started Chemo and his completely curable cancer turned into a nasty little monster. ::Sigh:: Its been laughter, tears, frustration and love. But every single day is a gift and should be slowed down as much as possible as to enjoy it down the very last drop. Drink it in. Life is short and the world is small.
Thanksgiving has passed, to list what Im thankful for would be a task in vain, as every single day Id have to add even more. Im just thankful. Christmas is falling upon us rapidly. "Ho ho claus will be so happy" I hear this 10x per day and every single time it makes me smile. We put up the tree and he'd be so happy, we put up the lights and he'd be so happy. Everything we do these days is in anticipation and lure of Santa and Im loving it all. We wrote to him tonight and sealed the letter with a kiss so that he may send us one of his elves to visit and report to him how good shes being. I bet he does, because Santa is cool like that. This will be the best Christmas by far. I wish I could figure out how to "BE" christmas, because I would so do it.
She says so much every day that I need to chronicle. She loves marshmallows like little bear, she "told you" when you are in trouble with her, and at the end of the day really all she wants is a sweet tart. Simple.

We're redone the house and by WE I mean ME. I painted the inside and out, and it feels great. I got a new ride and although I was sad to say goodbye to Lucy, I love Natalie. It feels good to say it ;) I have so much more, so much we've done, so much we've said, it makes me feel guilty for not stopping to write it down, but Im sure someone way smarter than I has quoted about what happens to you when you are looking down to write about life...you miss it. But I dont have time to figure out exactly how it goes or who sad it. Until the next time I stop to breathe...Peace, Love and Thanks. Happy Holidays~

Skhool is Kool!

Okay today was the day, C went to school. I dont know what Ill do when she starts real full blown have-to-go school. I cried. Im a dork and whatever, but I bawled. I had to lie to her and that made me feel bad, leaving her with "strangers" made me feel bad, and the thought of her maybe wanting to stay there made me feel bad. UGH!
Its almost the end of her first day and Im anxious to pick her up and hear all about it. I called to check on her a hour in and they told me that she cried but they had her calmed down and she was having fun. I hope it stayed that way. I know she needs this and she will grow to love it. She was so excited about going I just dont think she realized that I would be leaving her:( This gives me the sadz.
On a good note she was super happy and looking oh-so-cute in my new fall skirts and bows that Im selling (wink, wink). Heres some pics of my cutie! Enjoy~

She going to a local parents day out starting next Tuesday. We have her lunchbox and of course I have a super cute custom nap mat made for her.

Its about time to start letting her get out and make some new "friends". I tear up when I talk about it so Im hoping that this turns out to be a good thing, Im sure Ill be on picture overload that day! Tell me that everything will be okay!

Too Much

"Too Much" I think this is C's favorite saying. We have been up to "too much." Since the last posting we made our very first batch of brownie cupcakes. This was trip. She did every single thing in preparation of them, she is such a great cook:)

Well the day has come and gone. J is graduated, that chapter of our lives has been written and now its time for our next adventure. I took a picture of J and C on his first day and here's a pic of the two of them on his last day. Too cute.

We had an awesome trip to the farmers market. It was a playdate last week. If anyone didn't know there is a great market down off of Airline, the Canino market. Then we went and let the kiddos blow off steam and cool off at Chick-fil-a and I just love this pic:

And then there was the train. Oh Lawd. This was literally a train wreck. Houston really dropped the ball on this one. First off it was so poorly organized, how can you expect toddlers stand out side in a 3 hours line on pavement that is 112 degrees? Seriously. I was beyond pizzed, we went to see this Disney movie train thing, luckily we have an easily distracted 2 year old, so we saw the outside of the train and then did what any parent in their right mind would do...we bribed her. LOL! We took her for ice cream, but here's the pics we got while we were there.

Today we went to a super fun playdate! And the week is starting out great! Of course I have to add shamless plug, please check out my site we have been busily working our tails off to get ready for the fall show circut, let us know what you think!

The big day is upon us

Tomorrow is the big day. J takes his last final tomorrow and we are elated. Last night we threw him a surprise dinner party at the "garden". I was so nice and we actually surprised him, he had no clue. Of course pics are included:)He recieved lots of nice cards and gifts and got a new rifle which he is so excited about.

Today I have the crud and C has a mini version of the crud. So we sit here as my super sweet hubster is outside mowing the grass. I think we may have a summer cold, yuck!
As for what is next for the Loftins I have no clue. We have been throwing around the idea of a road trip vacation, we will see. I of course continue to try and work like mad to get things ready for the fall craft show rush. Not too much new to update, since our last post we have visited, partied and bowled. All were fun and exciting! Hopefully in the next update I will have some fun news!

Lets go Astros

Lets Go! Alright today ROCKED. The family was awesome, the food was good and the entertainment was great, but that being said I have to admit going to a baseball game with a two year old may not be the most enjoyable way to see a game. I've said it before and Ill say it again, thank God for the Iphone. You tube saved us from torture during that game.
We started the day off by taking a short stroll through the mall which inevitably meant a ride on the pony. Today we rode "Lightning" Woohoo. Then we headed down to the game, we got great parking and everything went well, they have a deal on some Games that you get a ticket, a hot dog, a drink and a bag of chips for $10. Oh yeah its a sweet deal. Check out their homepage and find out more!
Anyway the game started and pretty much after the first pitch C was DONE. Enter the Iphone. LOL!
Also we left early and got soaked on the way to the car, thats our luck, we go to game and park moons away in the middle of a drought and leave in a thunderstorm having to hoof it with no umbrella. Figures. But at least C found the humor in it as she giggle and cackled all the way to the car. Children always show you the good in things.
So another great day down in the Loftin family books.
Heres some pics....Peace!

Life after the circus...

Ah, does one exist? LOL! C had a BLAST at the circus and I think I have to speak for everyone who went and say it was a blast. We had great seats courtesy of my awesome parents and it was truly a show for all ages. Of course I took pics but they didn't turn out as well as Id hoped, but you will get the get the drift:)

Also I totally forgot to post our 4th of July pics! We went on my grandfathers boat. It was so much fun!! Of course C took to it like a fish in water, she loves anything to do with water. Today when she woke up she told me the plan for the day, took roll call in her bed and then proceeded to tell me she needed to go to the beach today! LOL! So anyway here's the pics, Enjoy!

So we have a busy week this week and hopefully lots of adventures to share. This week my grandfather starts Chemo for his lung cancer, scary stuff, but I know he'll be fine. C and I have a play date tomorrow which is always fun times. J has a softball game on Tues. We have an Astros game on Wed. On Thursday I am having SURGERY! Ok, well maybe not BIG surgery but the paperwork says minor surgery, so its still surgery, lol! I am having a nevus sebaceous (google it) removed that Ive had for 28 whole years~Ill be glad to have one less thing to worry about. And then that leaves Friday...humm. I wonder how will we will fill that day with fun!

Just another day...

In paradise! The past few days have been hectic crazy, but we love it. J's school days are coming to a close and we are looking forward to graduation on 8/8, so exciting. I had gotten confirmation that I will be in some upcoming craft shows which is SO exciting. I'm doing pretty good, I'm making things like crazy and really getting into it. I'm about to take it to the next level and get myself an id #. SO official!
C has been growing like crazy. On Monday we went and took adorable pictures at the picture people. Okay, so I'm a cheapy, and I'm not getting paid (but I should be:) But I'm going to promo for them, they take great pictures. Seriously good pictures and they are nice to deal with, not what we are used to. I know they are more expensive, but you do get better quality pics. Just keep them in mind. Here are some proofs we got to view and share, they are soooo cute!

Tomorrow we are going to the circus, I'm telling you what a blessed life we live! I'm sure we will have lots to report on from a day at the circus!

Whats happenin' Wednesday

Today we took C to the opening of Ice Age. It was cute. Once again C acted well during the show, it was a full house. I think she really enjoyed it considering she loves to act like a dinosaur.
We chose a low key kind of day since yesterday I had my teeth worked on, I had many cavities, I will refrain from going into any more details;)My PSA is do not, I mean do not go without seeing your dentist for 6+ years, it will catch up with you. J and I acted lazy and i tried to work on some new crafts, but my machine is on the fritz so I retired to do as little as possible for the remainder of the evening. Not sure whats going on for the rest of the week, but since its been slow so far I'm sure we are in to wind the week down with some adventure, check back soon!

Life's a Beach

We just got home from our trip with our friends and we had blast! We drove to Padre with a RV and stayed at the state park. Time flew by so fast, as it always does when you re having fun! We played in the sand and surf, ate good food and enjoyed great company. Here are some pics of our adventures:

We definitely made some memories and know that we will be doing this again as soon as we can. Its such a new experience seeing the world though the eyes of a child. She makes life so exciting and most of all she fills our lives with love. We loved sharing this time with our friends and thank them dearly for sharing this with us!

Traveling is always tiring, traveling with TWO 2 year olds just makes it EXHAUSTING! LOL! Enjoy the pictures! Ill update again soon!

Wacky Wednesday

Today was awesome. Just awesome. We celebrated fathers Day or J and had great time. We took advantage of family day at the Houston Boat show, we avoided the crowds and beat the heat. We found the boat of our dreams, now we just have to find all the money we dream of to buy the sucka', LOL! It looks like this

and this

::Drool:: Its perfect for us. It does all that we need and more, but I wont bore you anymore with my ramblings of just how many bows I have to sell to get this baby in my driveway. ::SIGH:: Oh well, at least we had fun.

After the show we ate at Dimassi's Mediterranean food. Delish. It wasn't the best ever, but well worth the price to get to try a large variety of food. Best on the menu was the falafel patties. So good. We surely got our moneys worth. J even turned down Hank's and he NEVER turns down Hank's. Good times.
Then we went to Academy. J is going to be in a men's softball league this year. So for his fathers day gift he got a pretty rockin' mit and new pair of kicks. He's going to tear them up on the field, I tell you.
Overall this is how to spend a great fathers day in Houston, we were cool, it was cheap and best of all C really enjoyed the boats, it was fun watching her climb all over them and have a good time.

Oh my goodness, word just in, as I was updating I just heard about Billy Joel and his divorce from his creepy "daughter" wife....I know this is breaking news for everyone ::grin::, I will keep you all posted as I know more. Maybe this will prompt him to write some new material to get his emotions off his chest.Ill be waiting with baited breath, LOL.
Tomorrow is going to be fun, C and I are going to the water fountains for have some fun in the water with some friends, Im sure there will be lots of "wet" pics!

I almost forgot in my update, I have BIG, SUPERSIZED, GINORMOUS news!
But before I tell you I will leave you in suspense and show you a pic of my super cute kid today.

We went to the mall and played at the museum and of course took a ride on the carosel, but she realized that her Le-Le had hooked her up with some M&M's in her lunch sack and life just couldnt be any sweeter for my 2 year old!

Back to the news...
J is graduating. I know its old news to most, but its still freaking awesome! He recieved his offical date of commencement letter and finalization of graduation plans. Im so excited for him! He is offically comepleted in August! GOOOOO J!

Okay, I mean it...

Alright, Alright, I know I have been the world's worst as keeping up with the blog. Its just that our life is so much fun and exciting that it hard to chronicle that in a timely manner, LOL!Actually someone mentioned the blog to me and it jogged my memory to get back on it.
So much has happened since I last posted, lets see, in February we went to San Diego to see my sister and my nephew. That was so much fun, that place is indescribably beautiful. In March C celebrated her 2nd birthday.

We had a mickey themed party and it was a blast. Two doesn't sound old but I'm realizing that I no longer have a baby on my hands, she is becoming an independent little girl, that seriously gives me a case of the "sadz". I have pics upon pics to upload and show off all about this. We
have started a new family hobby of letter boxing which we have done as much as we can, its a blast, more to come on these adventures. In April we celebrated J's birthday as well as our anniversary, J took C and I to a mini vaca at Galveston. That was GREAT! WE stayed at an awesome hotel right on the water and it had a great pool in it. C loved to ocean and realized how much she loved the pool even more. In May we took a camping trip to our property, it was so quiet and relaxing to do nothing other than fish, play horseshoes and eat smores..lots and lots of smores.

We have also taken numerous trips to the state park and out to the family Farm to ride the mule which also is fun filled trip each time we go!
Now that brings us to June, well already we have had lots of adventures; we have gone to the children's museum where C got painted up like a kitten and had a blast in the water park.

Id recommend it to anyone, although the website states no outside food or drink, this is not the case, the food there is expensive and they do have an outside eating area within the museum designed especially for bring your own lunches, so just FYI. Also we took C to her very first movie, "UP". Oh that was cute. She did so well she made it through the entire movie like a champ! Thank goodness considering it was 102 degrees outside and that was our only activity for the day! We have also gone blueberry picking. C did well for about 20 minutes but it was so hot, it gets hot in a hurry around here:( Fortunately there were lots of berries to eat that she happened to find on the ground, LOL!
And last but not least the pool. For C's b-day we got a pool, its not huge but it has been a blast of a good time in our backyard. She has become quite the swimmer. Also my mom has gotten a pool so there hasn't been a week go by that C hasn't gotten a nice case of "raisin toes!"
I will be updating on a more regular basis as I have a new format Id like to try out. As always pics are coming...

And the countdown begins until our next adventure...camping on north padre! YEAH!

New Year..time to post!

Wow, that was fast. Seriously the holidays have left me feeling almost overwhelmed. One minute we are succumbed in holiday cheer and then..WHOOSH its gone. Where did all the Christmas lights go? So Sad. This was by far the very best holiday that I have experienced. C is growing up so very quickly. The joy in her eyes during the holidays makes it amazing. We did so much, I have to post the ever important pics.

During the holidays we visited the Galleria, C was entranced by the ice skaters, there were a group of students there skating and one little girl made an effort of stopping by to say hi to C every time she made a round on the ice, she was overjoyed, we finished up the evening with an excellent meal the Cheesecake factory, YUM!

We went to the Disney live show. That was a hoot. C was just so excited to see "mickeee", which by the way is the second cutest thing that she says, second only to her new word .."Pheease", yep, it breaks your heart. She was so excited by all of the characters.

My sister, brother in law and most importantly my nephew came in for the holidays that was wonderful. During this time I also got a sister in law! It was so nice to have everyone here and feel so bonded again!

Christmas morning was just as I imagined. It was delightful to watch her face light up at the toys and for me it was so nice finally feeling as our family tradition had begun, we had monkeybread and breakfast casserole. Life is good.

I celebrated my birthday, I'm so lucky to get to be another year older. Yeah, yeah, I know getting old stinks, you re telling me, I'm almost 30 (gasp) but its better than the alternative, isn't it? My birthday went on and on, for like a week, it was great! I got the most gorgeous watch from J, its a looker! Speaking of, we each had a wonderful Christmas, J got his coveted Iphone and I got a beautiful purse and embroidery machine. LOVE IT! Oh and we are going to Cali on holiday at the end of the month. We are so excited and will have so much to post about when we get home.

We also went to the zoo, I don't think anyone should go longer than three months without a zoo trip, I think its good for the soul. Check out our pics, there are old and new mixed in this batch, but I couldn't separate)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/30396983@N04/

Oh, and J and I had a date..Woohoo! We spent a day out on the town and got to see the Body worlds exhibit. Completely overpriced, but it was entertaining, I say if you can make it and have an extra $50 burning a hold in your pocket then check it out. Its fun.

Well I think that puts us up to date, of course I know Im leaving so much out, but I will have pics to follow and will try and keep up...

Peace~
